National Conference 2017

Canadian Nursing Student's Association

“The Canadian Nursing Students Association is proud to present the 2017 CNSA Annual National Conference taking place in Winnipeg, Manitoba from January 25-28, 2017. This inspirational National Conference will take place in the heart of downtown Winnipeg at the Radisson Hotel. We invite you to be a part of this exciting and educational event to advance Canada’s future generations of nurses and nurse leaders.

This year’s conference theme is Cultural Safety, we are going to be Celebrating Diversity – by breaking barriers through the exploration of cultural safety. This is an exciting opportunity to explore cultural safety through Winnipeg’s diverse population, attractions and festivals. With help from the University of Manitoba, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, we will be exploring cultural safety through a wide variety of speakers, workshops, food, dance and social events. We challenge every attendee to walk away with the knowledge to reflect upon one’s cultural identity and how it affects their practice therefore improving nursing across Canada. Our goal for this conference is to provide nursing students with the resources to practice in a culturally safe manner and knowledge that can be used throughout the rest of our professional careers and in our everyday personal lives.
